Hello splendid TSD students! I am pleased to be your Algebra 2 teacher. This is my fourth year teaching at TSD. I look forward to getting to know each of you. We are going to have a great year!
A little bit about me
I grew up in New Braunfels, Texas (Yes, I am still a Texan Native). In 1988, I graduated from Canyon High School. I attended Gallaudet University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and Mathematics. I had an internship as a student teacher at Texas School for the Deaf. Although I enjoyed the teaching, I decided to pursue a Master degree in Deaf Education at McDaniels College. Again, I did my student teaching at Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind. I ended up there and I worked several years in teaching math for middle school/high school and then moved back to Texas (What is it with me and the heat?) where I became a math teacher at Texas School for the Deaf.
When I am not teaching or planning awesome things for us to do at school… I enjoy paddleboarding, hitting the beach, and spending time with dear family.
Please feel free to contact me via email if you have any questions. I look forward to getting to know each of you. We are going to have a great year!
